Have you run out of questions but still want your students to practise some dialogues? Use these ready-made questions to discuss a wide range of topics with your students and practise Present Simple, Past Simple, Present Perfect Simple and Continuous.

How to play

You can print the worksheet and cut out the question cards, or if all of your students can see the screen well, they can play by picking up a question from the screen.

If you print the worksheet and cut out the questions cards, put the question cards in a container (a hat or a box). You can choose to simply put them on the table, printed side down.

If you play using the computer screen, your students will pick up questions by randomly moving the cursor around the screen without looking at it, and answer the question under the cursor. You’ll also need a piece of paper and a pen to write down scores.

The flexibility of the games

The games have several worksheets which you can play all in one lesson or divide the activities between several lessons. There are instructions for each game, although you don’t have to follow the rules strictly and can change anything about the game if it suits you and your students better.

Instructions include variants for playing the game individually, in groups, in pairs or whole class. (Exceptions: Numbers—pair work, group work, Noughts and crosses—pair work, whole class or group work, Questions with and without auxiliary verbs—pair work, whole class, group work or individual work.)

How to get the game

This game is included in the Language Burger Games collection. The collection has 12 games which you can use as time fillers or extra exercises for your students. Eight games are for practising grammar, four games are for practising vocabulary.

The games are mainly for students of A2–B1 CEFR levels. (Pre-Intermediate – Intermediate levels).
